Default Buying a VW

Hi everyone,

Im new to this forum, and im seeking some help buying a Volkswagen. Alright I have a few questions, I live in Canada (Toronto area), and i heard my mom tell me the small parts are expensive and its costs lots to repair is this true?. When i go check out the car, what things should i look out for? Im look at a 92 GOLF for $1999,97 Volkswagen Golf CL for $2,500, and some 96 JETTA for $2,900...help anyone?

I think it's better to stay away from the 92. Problems with the Digafant fuel injection system. 3rd gen. Golf and Jetta's are better all around. They have inproved door handles, serp. belt vrs. v-belts, ODB 1 or ODB II.
