Default Beetle ball joint boot question

I have a 1970 Beetle. The original ball joints on the tierods and the swing arms are in great shape, but the rubber boots around most of them are ripped and worn. Can these be replaced without buying a ne wpart? I am especially interested in the swing arm suspension boots over the ball joints. Is there a way to replace these?

Default RE: Beetle ball joint boot question

Since you have to take them apart to do it I would just replace them because they have probably been without any grease for a while. But you can just grease them up and replace the boots.
