Default Bad heated seat switch/thermostat?

04 Jetta TDI wagon. Passenger heated seat works fine. Drivers heated seat is either, off, or molten lava setting. If the wheel is set to 1, 2, 3, or 4, there is basically no detectable heat. When it is set to 5, it gets hot as hell. Thanks

LOL..OMG, Molten Lava Setting!! (omg I'm crying) SO, check under the seat at the plugs and make sure everything is plugged in and nothing is chaffed.
