My Cig lighter does not want to work and I believe it is the fuse, however I have looked for the fuse under the dash above the relays and I cant find the dang thing. Can anyone explain or have a diagram to show me where I can find this fuse?

Well without knowing which engine is fitted its not easy.

Autodata don't list an 98 Jetta only 83-92 and 05-11.

A Jetta (05-11) 1.9D TDI PD

Fuse 42 20A in the fascia at the end of the dash pull the panel off.

 

I have pulled the pannal down and looked below and above the relays and cannot find it, the engine thats in there is the 2.0 engine and I do not have the handbook for the car

Unless you mean that there is a pannel on the very side of the dash where you have to open the door to get to it??

 

I did say the panel at the end of the dash. End\side is the same thing.

 

I looked and there is no pannel the only fuses I see are under the dash below the steering wheel. I have taken the whole thing out thinking there would be the fuse at the very top above the relays like I have been told, but there is nothing there... thats why im asking if posible it is in another location like under the hood or if it looks different form a standered looking fuse.

 

No panel only fuses, then someone has removed the panel and left it off. The fuse\relay box under the bonnet won't have this.

And Where is the cigarette lighter fuse on a 97 Jetta?

 

Sorry there are no fuses on the side/end of the dash in the 98 Jetta K2 only under the dash and was told in the engine bay
