Default 91 golf Cab

I have a 91 golf Cabriolet and when i was wiring in the stereo I think I killed the dash lights and the gauge lights above the shifter, the fuse is still good so i don't know what it could be. Also my cruise control didn't work when i bought the car used any suggestions on how to fix it or diagnose it?

Did you use a wiring harness or hard wire it?

I just wired the stereo to the wires coming out so I'd imagine thats hard wired. Silly german wires nothing made sense I had to go online to figure out the wires lol

Hi!
I did the same thing to my car years ago and it turned out that i killed the light switch.
Actually not the switch itself but the "rheostat". That is the brightness adjuster **** under your switch. So you might try to replace the switch or just "skip" the rheostat and have all dash lights back to normal without the adjusting ability.

Hope i helped you.

Peter
