Default 2006 jetta problem

My jetta has 72000 miles on it and there are no check engine lights on, although the light comes on here and there then turns off after a da or 2. I have had tons of problems with it. wheel bearings, brakes, fans, lights, trunk latch etc. all that is taken care of and only have 2500 miles left on the waranty.

The problem is SOMETIMES when shifting through gears (man trans) the car will just stop accelerating even if I floor it. If i keep my foot on the gas and keep it in the same gear the rpms actually start dropping slowly. The only way to keep accelerating is o switch gears and then it will do the same thing once it reaches the same rpm range and so on. The rpm range it does it in is 2500-3000 in all gears. To the best of my knowledge I have not lost any performance to date nor mpg.

If I take it to the dealership under waranty they will charge me to figure it out and as you all know dealerships are VERY expensive and over rated plus I talke to them about this problem before when my fans burned up and they said that this problem was probabuly due to the engine protecting itself from damage. I think they are full of it.

ANY IDEAS????

I don't know how this would happen in a 06 but it sounds like your throw out bearing on your clutch isn't engaging when it's supposed to. That requires removing the trans and they should replace the clutch while they are in there. So it would be worth taking it in under warranty otherwise you would be out around $1,500. I also think it is very strange that the fan motors would both burn out at the same time. I'd bet that a fuse or relay was just out. I do not trust the dealers mainly because the guys at the counter work off of commission.
