my teenage son just got his first car, a 2000 Jetta. He loves it but it only came with one key on a fob. When we went to get a second key we found it was going to cost nearly $300! Would it be safe to purchase an uncut key from the web and take it to dealer to be programed? Would we also have to have a fob?
