Default 1979 VW Super Beetle

I need help with my '79 VW. The engine started "cutting out" around 60 mph, when I hit a bump. Last year, the engine quit on me and had to have it towed in. I replaced the fuel relay, and fuel filter, and it started running again. It runs great around town, and I thought I had the problem solved.
But lastevening, I got on the interstate I-75, and could not go over 55 to 60, without the engine starting to cut-out and lose power. I was afraid to go any faster without getting stranded on the interstate.
Would anyone have a clue what problem I may have, or even better, any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated....tks....van in Kentucky.

Sounds like the screen strainer inside the gas tank may be
almost stopped up. It will let just enough fuel get by to run
the low speeds but not the upper speeds. If I remember
correctly it comes out under the tank where the fuel line
connects.
