Default 03 jetta 1.8t misfire

After the timing belt went, I had my car towed to the dealer for diagnosis. Before they pulled the head they wanted $4500. I found another shop to do they work. Now the car is still in the shop with a misfire in cylinder 3. The coils are brand new, as well as the plugs. When the engine is started it misfires until it is warm. It idles perfectly until you hit the accelerator. It misfires on heavy acceleration and deceleration until the idle resets. The misfire cyl 3 code appears and goes away after idle resets. I've read every post on this forum and nothing has helped or is even similar to the problems I am having. Any suggestions or ideas?
