Default Body repair specifications

Hi
Does anyone have access to the VW body repair specifications?

Or can you tell me where to buy them? I'm struggling with a superceded part on a 2004 Touran. Its a chassis part and is the same on heaps of VW models and several Audi's, Seat and Skoda.

The vehicle certifier I'm working with needs to see the repair specs before he will re certify the car.

Thanks in anticipation.

Your profile doesn't say where you live.

Any good body shop will have specs.

https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/ keep this in your favorites/bookmarks for part finding. It will save me looking in ETKA. As my ETKA 8.1 doesn't work anymore.

Unfortunately not Keith. They have to be purchased with the structural body part that you purchase. The cutting plane, the bonding, the welding or brazing techniques are all specified for each individual body part. That is to ensure that you don't heat a strengthened structural part or cut through a crumple zone.
Gone are the days when a chassis leg or 'A' pillar can be cut out and mig welded back in place.

So, if anyone has access to those specs that are only available from VW when you buy the specific body part, I would be very grateful.

Keith, what is the name of the other administrator who is a VW technician? I did exchange PM's with him last year over an injector issue but lost his details. Thanks in anticipation. By the way, my profile quite clearly states I am in New Zealand.
