Default Radio not picking up

I have an '03 Jetta with the Monsoon system. About a month after buying it the radio started acting up, sometimes it will play for almost an hour and the just go out as if the antenna has been unplugged. Most of the time it will not pick up at all, which makes my Sirius radio useless. I was wondering if anyone else had this kind of problem. I'm also going to contact my dealer to see if it's covered under the extended warranty.

Thanks, Jason

Ive had the problem, not in a Vdub though. The antenna wire simply came loose. Put it back together and rigged it to not come apart again and that was it.
good luck

Hopefully it will be that simple. I just dread taking the dash apart to get the radio out.

Thanks, Jason

you shouldnt have to take the entire dash apart to get the radio out. you should be able to get to it without taking much out, unless its one of the radios with the antitheft thing where you have to put the bar things in the corners to pull it out. i m not sure ill look at mine when i get a chance

That would be sweet if there's an easier way. I got one side loose, but that was after I had taken the glove box almost completely off. [&:]
