Default 01 jetta 1.8t check engine light.

Ok i need to get my 01 1.8t inspected. I live in new jersey. I bought the car with the CEL on. stupid move but oh well

Now i need to get it inspected. I put the car up to a snap on scanner, and it was it was a fuel problem, that it needed a new fuel filter. I put the filter on, and now the car is running bad. Like the turbo is wheezing, and the motor is kinda of coughing, and it dont want to accelerate at all. another thing, at full throttle, the car dont accelterat, just coughs. but as soon as i let off the throttle, THATS when it feels like boost is coming on.

Now after the fuel filter, i take it to auto zone. they put it up to there ****ty scanner, and it says this..

Fuel trim bank 1
Fuel pressure concern
(probable cause)
-large vacuum leak
-ignition system malfunction
-faulty 02 sensor

on the snap on machine none of this is coming up, but it is on the AUTO zone one..

anybody know what to do to this car for it to pass inspection???

thanks

You may have released some nastiness into the fuel line while changing the filter and clogged up the pressure regulator or the injectors. It could also be a vacuum leak causing all the problems too. Check for a vacuum leak first. If that's not it test your fuel pressure.
