Default Thinking about buying

I have a chance to buy a 98 Cabrio with only 56k miles on it. I am under the impression that these engines have a timing belt. At what amount of miles should this belt be changed or does the amount of years it has been out make a difference?

Is usually around 70K to 90K. You can actually inspect the timing belt for any cracks or if the tooth look worn.

Is this easy to do if I am just looking at this car to buy?
