i have this issue with my car (jetta 2.0 GLS ,2003).:

p1424 Secondary Air Injection System Bank 1 Leak Detected
can anyone help me what it means ? what to do,change? except going to the dealership...i don't wanna be robbed. ;)

check small vacume hose to deverter valve on the back of the head
or your big air hoses from the air pump to the deverter valve
