My golf mk 5just stoped and wont start again
 

Hello, I need some guidance if possible.
One day, I was driving my car and it had no prior issues, then an hour later it wouldn't start.
I then took it to the garage, they checked it and they suspected that it is the ECU but it was too expensive so I brought the car home. I bought the ECU kit and the problem is still the same with the car, it still won't startup.
When they connected it to the computer, there was no data coming, when I changed the ECU it was the same issue again. There is no spark
Does anyone have any idea as to what the issue could be or if anyone has experienced the same situation?
