Where to go for transmission?
My local dealership has told me that I need to replace the transmission in my 2000 Eurovan. The estimate is for $8000+ and only offers a 1 year warranty. Aamco has given me a price of $7000 and a 3 year warranty. Does anybody have any experience with Aamco and should I trust them with my Eurovan or spend the extra $$ at VW? No other local shops will touch it.
Welcome to the forum.
Where do you live?
If you know the gearbox code I can tell you which other vehicles fit the same one.

I live in Wilmington, Delaware. Pretty close to Philadelphia, Pa.
I don't know the gearbox code and the van is currently in the shop awaiting my decision so I can't look for it.
