I have a 3 year old Sharan Sport that gave a warning sound and display on the computer if I or the other front seat passenger did not have a seat-belt on. After 2.5 years it suddenly stopped working. The maintenance people at my dealership say I never had a seat-belt warning system at all and cannot help me. In effect, they are saying that I, my family and my friends have been dreaming over the last few years. The warning never came with the normal icon/light on the speedometer; rather it was the computer that would give the warning (similar to the low washer fluid warning). Does anyone know if there is a way to set the computer to do this? Anyone ever have a similar problem?
