I had new tires installed yesterday which are 1.5" smaller in diameter than the ones I replaced. I have noticed that after slowing down (to around 10 MPH) then stepping on the accelerator, there is a short delay before the transmission finds the appropriate gear.

I also have noticed rough down shifting as well.

I am wondering if the transmission is re-learning the difference in final drive ratio and if so, how long it will take to have a smooth shifting transmission again?
