Roof Rack Key ! Help

Does anyone know how to get a Roof rack key? We just bought a used 2005 Touareg and the rack requires a key. We are going on vacation in 2 weeks and our luggage holder doesn't fit. No key was with the car. Is it stored in the car somewhere normally?

Came across this post and it's old but looks like no one responded so figured I would. My 2004 Touareg was missing the roof rack keys so I found the number listed on the lock and went to the Thule website, problem solved for under $25 I recall.

First post comment?

Seem a little trigger happy with those first post scoldings. I wasn't asking for help I was offering an answer so seems this was the proper place for it not in the introductions section.

Not sure what you want to accomplish by posting the link to the welcome area as it supports my initial comment. I read the intro and it said "We also strongly encourage you to create a new thread here in the New Member Area to properly introduce yourself to the community." It does not make it a requirement so these comments don't make a new member feel welcome.

Lots of forums out there so Admin comments shouldn't be based on ones opinion on how it should be done they should make new members feel welcome thus building a bigger community.

All first posts should be made in https://volkswagenforum.com/forum/new-member-area-4/ I asked admin to add that comment.

If users can't be bothered to make an intro then they are here for a free fix never to come back and support this forum. Its being polite to make an intro.
