Tiguan Reliability

Hi,

I like the front wheel drive 09 VW tiguan, and was getting reddy to buy one...until I considered VW's reliability history. This SUV has a 200HP turbo charged engine, same as in the VW GTI and is a new model to boot...2009 was the first year for the tiguan.

So three things give me cause for concern in terms of reliability: the overall repuation VW has for reliability, the turbocharged engine (more problems on those I believe), and the fact that it is a new model (gremlins haven't been worked out).

What do you guy think? I was considering getting an extended warranty through coverageone, which would give me more piece of mind.

Instead of the tiguan I was also thinking of a new jetta. Do you think the jettas reliability would be better since it's not a new model and doesn't have the turbo engine?

Thanks
