New Key FOB
 

I have a 2017 Tiguan. I bought it last year in Miami and had it shipped to a Caribbean island. When it arrived it had one key FOB. There is no VW dealership on my island. The locksmith says he can program and laser cut the key if I can get a PIN code from VW.



Does anyone know how to obtain this? I have called 2 dealerships in Florida and they simply tell me I must bring the car to a dealership. Since I own the car, I can prove ownership it seems like I should be able to obtain the code. I have offered to pay the dealer for a keyfob and the PIN but no results.



Any input is appreciated.

You can't replacement keys from a locksmith its a VW dealer only as they have online access to the VW database.

Keys don't have a PIN code its the Secret Key Code (SKC) on later VW models as I've said only a dealer has access to..

I guess I need to find a VW dealer who will send a mechanic to the Turks and Caicos Islands.

I think you need to find a VW dealer as they have mechanics to handle such problems but a locksmith can also make for it.

Call VW dealer or any local auto locksmith there, they can help providing a new key fob.
