2009 Tiguan - water issues on front passenger side floor

Hi,
I'm having a problem with water on the front seat passenger side of that my mechanic has not been able to fix despite trying several different procedures. So far he's done the following: replaced the tubing in the sun roof that is suppose to drain the water away; cleared out the leaves in the drainage vents in the engine; he took off the front passenger side wheel to see if there was any rust in the wheel well and although there was no rust he found a ton of leaves in there that he cleared out, as such, he thought they might have been causing a 'dam' which prevented water from draining properly and into the car instead. Unfortunately, none of these have worked and my mechanic has given up so I need to find another one, however, before I hit another one up I'm hoping I can get a little more direction or help her.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Mcdonagh.

Sunroof drain pipes are the normal problem but you have checked those.

Sorry...I found your site via Google and I thought this was the message board for 'regular folk', as such, I was hoping to come across someone with the same issue.
