Default 2009 tiguan used shift lock override to move dead car. Now can't shift without it.

As the title says, I left the lights on overnight and killed the car in the garage. This morning when I had to move it out of the garage so I could jump it, I used the shift lock override.
Now after it's been jumped and is otherwise totally functional, the car will not shift back into park without hitting the override button again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Default Welcome to Volkswagen Forum - Rules & Recommendations

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.
