What's Up With the Polo in the USA?
 

Volkswagen of America keeps saying they'll bring it over, then it doesn't come. Is VWoA serious about selling any subcomapcts in these United States? Just asking.

Well if you Attachment 3303 this there are reports of the Polo being built in the US but obviously this hasn't happened as its probably cheaper from their Chinese factory.

That third article is a bad translation, it took me forever to decipher it.

I was holding out for a 2013 Polo, which I thought would make it to the USA in the spring of 2012, but it became obvious that it wasn't likely to come and, if if did, it would be as a notchback, which I didn't want. :(

i haven't read anything in a while about volkswagen bringing the Polo to the States, so I'm assuming they won't be. Or if they do it won't be for a few years. Does anyone think differently?

Right now, I think the price of gas in the U.S. would have to double to make that happen. :(

Well I have seen VW polo in the areas where it has been launched. Its a good hatchback model, good at its exteriors, has been launched in petrol and diesel variants and is doing good there. The only matter of fact is that the ground clearance is low so it would be a bit hard to drive in the hilly areas. I guess it will be launched soon in the States. Just have the patience.
