Hi I have a VW Polo 2004, and I am trying to buy a Fob key remote entry on ebay that works for my car. The sellers are telling me that I need to match part # and FCC #. How can I get this information, since it is not on the remote?

I wouldn't trust an ebay key fob. You are going to have to have it programmed at the dealer anyway so I'd just get it from them.

 

Just for getting the key fob and have it programmed with a dealer, I have to pay arround $300 here in Costa Rica (not including the cut of the key). The programming of this can be done with Vag-Com (already got the tool). So that's why I am trying to figure this other way out.

 

I can't do that with my VAG COM. Those numbers are inside the key fob.
