Hi Keithuk, I am amazed that being far away from the effected car and its driver you are trying to sort out the problem for his pinging noise. Its great, but I do think that without having a look to the problem, it would be a bit hard to solve the problem. But I know that you definitely will do it. However the case has become interesting for me also.

 

I agree with you ailixhomes its very hard to diagnose problems on the web as you can't physically see the vehicle you can only go by the description given.

 

That is why I am so amazed and I couldn't stopped myself asking you about this thing. You don't know about the level of impression that you have made upon me. Anyways how far have you reached regarding JohnPj's car. Have you succeeded in repairing it or still some more things are to be done ?

 

Sorry for late reply lol - Well apprently my friend who also has a VW her car makes that "ping" noise and its nothing to worry about, so its fine now haha i posted a new thread thou with a problem which is annoying Depressed
