Squeaky clutch
 

I have a 1.4, 16vW reg Polo. The clutch pedal is extremely hard to depress and squeaks all the time. I also have difficulty in selecting gears. Does anybody have any similar problems and any remedies?

Been a loooooooonnngg time since I worked on a polo. Check your tranny fluid, may need to add some. May be time to do a tranny flush.

Does it only make the noise when you push in your clutch?

If so be perpared to replace your clutch, pressure plate and throw bearing in the next little bit. Mine did the same thing for about 3 weeks and finally let go a couple days ago.
