2003 Polo: supportive sounds gone
The 2003 VW Polo, like many other cars, lets you hear a clicking sound when showing direction, it will beep when you're almost out of gas, and it will warn you when you open the door when the lights are still on.
Ours, however, has ceased doing that. The horn still works. I can't find a fuse that in some way could be related to this issue. Does anybody have an idea where to look for the problem? |

Try pulling the negative wire off the battery, leave it for 5 minutes or so and reconnect it. It might work, i've done it before when sounds were lost and they came back after....

Thanks Jeff, I'll let you know if it worked.

Sorry it took a while, but better late than never I guess. It unfortunately didn't work. Just to be certain that all power was really out of the system, I also unscrewed the positive wire and briefly held it to the negative wire.
At the garage they say it will probably cost some 200 euro to have a part of the dashboard replaced... well that's not gonna happen ;) |

the indicator light is not a fuse but a relay one of the black boxes on the fuse pannel look in the oners manual for a diagram. phone a vw dealer ask for the (flasher relay) see what they come up with. most mechanics dont like to deal with electrc issues a new dash seems very extreem god luck
