Warranty is finished - high mileage - what to expect?

My aftermarket warranty (thanks Chris!) just expired and I'm close to 200,000km on my Phaeton. I've put close to 130,000km in the 3 years I've owned it. The warranty came in handy as my car required more than $25,000 in warranty and probably another $15,000-20,000 in CPO before that.

I'm coming up to my next timing belt change (at 220,000km) and almost on my 4th set of brakes.

What can I expect? I'm hoping it lasts me another 2 years or up to 300,000km.

I've had most major components replaced and had to spend $3,000+ last year of my own money for maintenance over and above the warranty (ie suspension bushings, oil changes, wipers, $100 deductibles).

Major components I've replaced:

- Transmission at 170,000km
- prop shaft
- control arms
- nav cd system
- shifter lever
- tiptronic and brake switches
- servos for center and passenger vents
- entire center console
- driver window regulator
- fuel pump
- trunk hinges
- trunk harness
- 3-4 motors in dash including defrost motor (required removing entire dash twice)
- all TPMS sensors
- horn
- headlight assemblies
- front headlights replaced and they are starting to go again (check lights came on)

Those are just a few off the top of my head.

Also, for those of you complaining in the U.S. about it costing almost $100 to fill it, it now costs me $100 to fill it from 1/4 full - about $120 for a full tank! And the Canadian dollar is worth 5% more than the U.S. dollar so it costs way more up here.

Since most components have been changed, I'm hoping to be trouble free for the near future (other than routine maintenance).

Any really high mileage owners (200,000km+) who can comment?

I read a thread here that mentioned someone using them as taxi's in Germany and was getting 400,000km+ from these cars.
