volkswagon passat tdi 2003 130bhp

my passat has brought on a fault saying emissions workshop

also the engine management lite is on can anybody help me and tell me this wot this fault could be

It could be many things. If you could get a code scanner and get the number I could help you. Or you should be able to go to your parts store and they can scan it for you.
