im in need of information regarding a passat i've bought. i purchased this car to provide reliable transportation to my family while im still in college and to learn about turbo charged engines. im well versed in normally aspirated engines. i understand the concepts and equiptment as well as how the equiptment works for a turbocharged engine.

the car was nearly free, because the turbo is shot and the shocks on the rear have gone out.

i am planning to purchase a K04 turbocharger with appropriate header & a plate and bar intercooler as well as a 440cc green giant injectors.

mostly im in need of advising for whether the ecu will need to be re-tuned for advanced timing and fuel pressure and such. do i need to purchase this item myself or find a performance shop who can handle such things. also, do i need to purchase a blow off valve or is that included as a stock component.

if i do need to purchase any of this additional equiptment are there any recommendations for manufacturer names, or ones to be deterred from.
