tdi has problems starting
 

i have a 1.9 tdi 2001 passat and it has problems starting, had the AA out and ran full diognostics, he said that the fuel pump was not drawing enough amps, changed that and it has cured the problem to a certain degree.
there are no fault codes coming up, i have heard that i might have a problem with the injector seals.
can anyone shed some light on the issue as i am at my breaking point with the car, never had this problem with my a4.
