shift lock override 02 Passat W8

shift lock override 02 Passat W8

Does anyone have any clue as to where the shift lock release is on an 02 Passat W8? Car is stuck in Park. I pulled shift **** off and cannot locate the release thing. is it under the center console? how do you remove that if it is?? Help please
