Radio Trouble 2004 Passat
 

I got a jump and my radio went dead. Checked the fuses and they all checked good. I later found out that on the Monsoon system that there is a rear mounted fuse on the head unit. Problem is I cannot get my radio out of the dash. I have the removal tools that I purchased from Crutchfield and they easily clicked and unlocked the right side top and bottom. I examined the left side and it appears as if the tiny little locks on the left top and bottom are either warped or broken somehow. Is there a remedy? Dealer wants to charge $700 for a new radio. My belief is that they didn't even get the unit out of the dash.
