Hello all,
I am new to the forum and looking to purchase a 2001 Passat GLX with 48,000 miles on it. Ovbiously it has the V6, however is there any reason why I schould be concerned about that many miles on a VW. I have never owned one before.... I will be commuting from NY to FL twice a year. The original owner was an elderly woman... that took great care of the vehicle. Regular service etc... Is there any thing I should look further into/ be concerned about with an '01 Passat with that many miles... or is that just broken in? Please let me know what my next step should be and your thoughts on it. Thank you.

 

thats not high mileage at all for a 01' thats much less the industry average of 10-15k a year, passats are great cars and are very very reliable. check the exact date of purchase you might still have some powertrain warranty left on there, and then you can extend it.
