MY PASSAT B6 HAS COME WITH VW RCD 500 AUDIO SYSTEM. I NEED THE CODE FOR THIS. CAN ANY ONE HELP PLEASE.........

I'm sorry to say this will cost some money. You can either take it to the dealer or buy a VAG COM scanner and do it yourself. The dealer would probably be cheapest. They should just charge an hour for labor.

 

I'm new to the forum and recently bought a used 2003 passat with no issues Knock on wood) presently. The user manual is with the car but no sign of the codes for the pc or monsoon sound system that came with the car. After reading this post I am a little concerned because a friend with a similiar year model vw told me if my battery goes dead or when I replace the battery the computer system will request these codes and without them my vw will not start nor will the sound system without entering the codes. Please advise me if you have any suggestions.

If it a genuine VW radio goto a dealer with proof of car ownership and they should give you the radio code free of charge. VAG-COM\VCDS won't find the radio code.
