Default Passat 40,000 mile service

So its that time, and all German automotive specialists are asking $700 for this service. Its an 04 Passat v6. From what I understand besides checking a lot of things I need to

Change oil and oil filter
Change fuel filter
Replace sparkplugs
Replace air filter
Replace cabin filter

I have done all of these on other types of cars, anybody know how difficult the fuel filter or sparkplugs will be?

Or should I bite the bullet and get the service.

It won't be to difficult just take a little longer and if you haven't done it before and have some patients, then you will get a great sense of pride and some money still in your pocket if you do the labor yourself. Good luck and if you have any ?'s remeber to get a Hayne's manual from Auto Zone or Advanced Auto for your car and this will give you a idea of the time.
