I drove through a puddle now I lose power, any ideas?
 

Hi

I drove through a big puddle real slow and got out ok and then the engine started rough idling. It idles rough still but you can catch it by bluipping the gas and rev it up, then it revs for about5 to 6 seconds and drops down but does not stall, then it revs up again on its own and the cycle continues. I have

• put new plugs in
• checked air filter and replaced it (old one was damp over one third)

Anyone had the same symptoms? Anyone know if my car has a diagnostics port?

You probably have water in your engine. Do you have a cold air intake with the filer in your wheel well?
