HELP: 99 Passat Climate Control Center blinks all LED's at once.
 

Good day everyone,

I hope someone will have some idea of what this error means. My local mechanic has tried and failed to diagnose the issue. http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif
When I put the key and and start the car, the Climate Control Center display blinks all led's until you press one of the control buttons. Also, when this occures, most of the accessories do not function, they include the daytime running lights, turn signal, windsheild wippers, and night time headlights. I had this happen to me after dark and had to hold the high beam flasher on to drive home.

In the begining, to clear this you would only need to turn the car off, take the key out and start over. http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/screwy.gif
