Default Fishy breaks?

Hi
I have a Passat 03, stationwagon and I find my breaks a little bit strange, when I slowley press the breakpad down with my foot, it comes
down almost or to the floor.
My dealer says it suppose to do that, is it right?

Best regard

If you have abs brakes which most vehicles do, and your sitting
still, you can apply the brakes and press the pedal down close to
the floor, that's a fact, however when your driving and use the brake you will notice the pedal doesn't go down very far to stop
the vehicle. That's just the way ABS is and it is a bit fishy.

It's called brake assist. try it without the keys in the ignition and you won'tbe able to press it that much.
