Default Engine Cover Replacement

Well I changed the oil on the 2007 passat not entirely straight forward, but not too bad. I thought I would go ahead and change the air filter as well. Damn that is a son of a gun. I looked up online to try to find out how other people had removed the engine cover to gain access to the filter. http://www.swankmonkey.com/vw/jetta/..._engine_cover/

So I tried to duplicate that effort. As I was trying to pop the tabs on the engine cover it cracked on the northeast side. People said they were hard to get off, but I never imagined they would be that difficult. It is not bad and I could probably keep it like that, but I would like to just get another one. Then I got to looking online, and found some after market ones that would pair up w/ an after market cold air intake. This is the one I was considering, only b/c it was the first one that I came across. It is from Neuspeed

I thought if I get the cold air intake w/ another engine cover, I can clean the air filter alot easier in the future. Does anyone here have any suggestions for me on a good aftermarket engine cover and cold air intake? Thanks so much.
