Coolant leak - puddle near front passenger tire

I have had a slow coolant leak for a few weeks. It got worse this weekend, i havent driven the car in 4 days and noriced a puddle below the passenger fron tire. Any way to tell what the problem might be?

Also, is the only aceptable coolant the one from the dealer or is there any other place to get something that would work?

Thanks!
A.H.

Coolant leaks can occur anywhere in the cooling system. So open the hood and visually inspect the engine and cooling system for any sign of liquid leaking from the engine, radiator or hoses. The color of the coolant may be green, orange or yellow depending on the type of antifreeze in the system.
What is the color of leak?

Leaking when not running

It's the pink kind, i know, because i have had to refill it. i havent driven in about 5 days, but it is still leaking, does that help pin down what the cause could be? I looked for a leak under the hood but didnt see anything. if i dont drive it, do i need to keep it filled?

Thanks!

If you are not driving it then it won't hurt it. you have the pink G12 coolant that you can get from napa or you could order it from ECS Tuning.com where I buy all of my products. The problem with trying to pinpoint it is that it could be running down from another area on the engine. Do you have a turbo on your car? Because the coolant lines on that side of the car almost directly above the passager tire. Also if the coolant hose on the back of the head cyclinder is leaking it can be running down the back of th engine on the sub-frame and drip on the ground. Wash the engine off and see where the leak comes from.
