Car Net 2020 Passat?
 

Hello, I purchased a 2020 Passat R-Line recently and I can't get a straight answer if Car Net works with it or not....... Please can anyone help? Thank you.

It should indeed (if equipped) I say that as I just bought a 2020 Passat R Line and assumed it had it as I thought pretty much every VW did. When I tried to register my car with VW with the VIN # it said not equipped? I in turn went back to my invoice and it said This vehicle not equipped with Car-Net..

So Double your sticker and sign up for it. worst case you will get an error when you register that its not on your car. but to my understanding its pretty much standard on most VW's

Hmnmm yours is an R Line too?? Again mine said right on the sticker it didnt have it..I didnt see that and thought for sure I had it.....
apparanlty a module is installed into the BCM if you do have it and can easily register it at VW.com I really am sorta disapponted it didnt... but yeah check the sticker first...or if not near it register it with your vin and it will tell you as eithe it will resiter your car or it will say not installed on this vehicle.

what color my left over 2020 is the Tourmaline blue...we wanted Platinum Grey but I dont mind the blue....

Now let me throw this at you...I am making an appointment to take it back as Many features per the manual dont work or I should say are not enabled in the software so I want them to turn some features on.

biggest....open and close windows and sunroof with remote??

Im wondering if they are not on from the factory which in assuming.........but why the wouldnt I dont know.

My Passat is at the dealership being looked at as we speak. I'll let u know what they tell me. I tried the app and after typing in my VIN, it said Car Net wasn't available on my vehicle. I contacted VW Customer Care and they confirmed that I do have Car Net but there must be a problem and I should contact my dealer. I contacted my dealer and they advised me to bring it in, so here I sit........

Ah ok good....... them must just be a glitch...Ive read up to that software updates needed to be rolled out vehicles on showroom floors to get it up to snufff....the update was way delayed apparantly and dealers have to catch up..I found that with my researching of why mine want working. but good luck. I really thought I had t and am dissapointed I dont..if I knew I would tried to work it into the deal with the mud guards and bumperdillo.

when it goes back for that stuff Im goning to have them look at all the "non working" features that my owners manual says I should have. I found that for some reason the US models not ship with the software turned on...set up to roll the windows up with the remote... holding lock to close all windows and then holding unlock to roll them all down.
