Hello,

I recently bought a yakima rack for my 06 Passat so I can carry a canoe.
I didn't realize until after I installed the rack that there are no obvious tie down points in the front or rear.

I discovered the screw-in tow anchor points hidden on the passenger side of the front and rear bumpers. Has anyone had experience using these as tie-down points for canoes, kayaks, etc?

Any other ideas for properly securing a canoe in the front and rear?

Those are not tow ankor points they are for tieing the car down to the carhauler to take from mfg to dealer..but you could use them..
