99 VW Turbo Passat wagon
 

I own a 99 VW Turbo Passat Wagon. As of late, I have noticed that whenever shifting and giving it gas, it tends to hesitate and "jumps" like it's going to stall. Alternatively, when I start the car, it will turn on and then stall out before starting again. Not sure if this is related. Also, I've noticed that when I let my foot OFF the gas pedal, I heard this "cycling" noise...hard to describe. Obviously, I'm not a mechanic so any input would be appreciated!

Obviously its not easy to diagnose faults on the web.

Now I'm guessing but it sounds like you have a Passat TDI. There is a fantastic TDI forum that you can search.

Could I ask you to add your car spec to your signature as it will save users asking everytime, if you know the engine code that will also be great?
