Default '99 Passat, OIL/ABS MIL and Tach Lost...Ideas?

Hey guys, I have a 1999 Passat GLS V6, 89K... It has recently started illuminating the Oil, ABS, and MIL light, at random times during driving. The Tachometer also stops working immediately once the lights come on- Not to mention, the oh so annoying beep from the cluster during these shenanigans. Anyone ever have such a problem? I'm fairly certain it's TCM/ECM related, as the car continues to drive fine, and it's absolutely got oil pressure- Any suggestions? Thanks!

I think your battery is failing. Sometimes they still test good but I'd buy one. If that doesn't work reset your ecm buy disconnecting your battery cables and holding them together for about a minute.

It's Definately not a battery issue.

Well, since I have a new (3 Mos) battery in it, and swapped an Optima Yellow in it with the same result, I'd say the asking price of the car, and I won't have to worry about it anymore.

Did you try resetting the ecu? Like 90% of the time either the battery or the reset will work. 10% of the time it's the instrument cluster which sucks because it has to be programmed by the dealer.

Oh yay, good times. I'll try to reset the TCM and see what happens.

Well, sometimes if one thing is broken then it won't connect. For example, something strange, I was trying to scan my friends Jetta, it wouldn't connect, and after about an hour I took the faceplate off his radio and then it worked. There is a fuse just for the data link if you haven't checked yet. Have you taken the instrument panel out and checked the connections yet?
