I was wondering how I would determine what rack the 1991 passat has so I can order a new inner tie rod to replace the one that is currently on the car.

I found this one online and it mentions that it is for a ZF Type Rack.

This is to be my first VW so I am just getting acquainted with the parts and what I am going to need to fix this one.

All help will be greatly appreciated...

[edit]from what i can see there is the type ZF rack and the TRW rack so I need to know how to tell the difference before I order the parts.
