I've just had a terminal diagnosis for the 2.0 TDI engine in my 2010 Passat 3CC. I'm about to go searching for a second-hand replacement engine - and want to pick the brains trust here as to whether the various iterations of the 2.0 TDI motors, post-2010, are compatible with the 2010 model and can be installed without any modifications?
My engine has done 270,000 km - and ideally, I'm after a replacement 2.0 TDI motor with no more than 150,000km, and looking online, those engines are from around 2016 or later. I'm in Australia - and my CC is a Right-Hand Drive model.
I appreciate any advice or feedback about engine compatibility and replacement installation.
