2009 CC - EPC light on and white smoke coming from exhaust.

Hello, I have a 2009 VW CC. Everything was fine with the car until yesterday I went to go somewhere. I was about 5 minutes into my drive and the ride started to feel rough and the check engine light started to blink. I pulled over immediately and turned the car off. When I turned it back on, the check engine light came back on but stayed on solid and was no longer blinking. The EPC light came on and a significant amout of white smoke came out of the exhaust. I immediately drove it to the VW dealer that I use and the car seemed to be fine while driving up to speed, but it was rough when starting from a stopped position. There exhaust did not smoke while driving but did smoke a lot when I started from a stopped position. Any clue what could be wrong? Today is Saturday and they may not be able to look at it until Monday. I just want to have some sort of idea as to what could be wrong to be prepared for cost.

UPDATE:

Turned out to be a bad fuel injector. Luckily there’s an extended warranty until January so it will cost me nothing. Talk about going bad at the right time. My luck would have been it going bad a day after the warranty ended.

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Default Welcome to Volkswagen Forum - Rules & Recommendations

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.

I moved your post the other day to Passat section as we don't have a CC section. I've asked the admin to add Passat/CC to the forum title.

Thank you for the heads up. I didn’t realize my first post needed to be under the introductions section.
