2008 B6 Passat - Bi Xenon headlights

2008 B6 Passat - Bi Xenon headlights
Hi Folks,
My wife has a B6 Passat with Bi Xenon headlights, recently the near side has started to flicker, my question is being totally naive on this subject would this be the start of the bulb going or should i look for other issues?
The car is serviced, garaged and used as a second car mostly.
Any advice would be welcome.

Welcome to the forum Scott. 
It could be the bulb on the way out or a bad connection that needs investigating.
